This came to light after UCZ Chimwemwe congregation Reverend, Munjita Kamuya, welcomed President Edgar Lungu for Sunday service. President Lungu also donated K20, 000 to the Women’s Christian Fellowship meant for women’s empowerment at the church. Rev Kamuya said the church had already acquired a plot where the new church would be built to accommodate the rising number of the congregants. He said it was an honour for the Head of State to visit the church in Chimwemwe Township where the President grew up. Rev Kamuya later handed the bill of quantity documents to President Lungu who said he would look into the matter.
