Dr. Malama said that the ministry had taken kin interest in markets because the major cause of the cholera outbreak arises from contaminated food and water. “As a health sector we are showing interest because of the health aspect of food and water in markets. There is quick construction going on at BH-New Soweto market so that the traders can start conducting their business and fend for their families,” he said. He was speaking after touring the BH-New Soweto market which is under construction in Lusaka.
