Fri, 17 Nov 2017 11:06:41 +0000 By Buumba Chimbulu THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has extended the deadline for application for Tax Payers Identification Numbers (TPIN) to March 31, 2018 to enable more eligible people particularly for those in peri-urban and rural areas comply. The application for the TPIN, which is mandatory for all bank account holders, was scheduled to close on December 31, 2017. ZRA commissioner general, Kingsley Chanda, said after considering the current challenges in registering for TPINs, they resolved to extend the deadline to allow more eligible people to comply. Mr. Chanda said the aim was to ensure that all people with bank accounts registered as required by law. He explained that the ZRA devised measures that would make it possible for many people to acquire their TPINs through user friendly and timely processes.
