Mr Kanyama said though he was a proud Tonga, what some chiefs were doing was wrong and should be stopped. “Am proud to be a Tonga but am disturbed how we are trying to misguide our royal highnesses,” Mr Kanyama said. He implored the United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Haikande Hichilema to discourage the practice by advising their royal highnesses correctly. He said the trend of disregarding government was dangerous because it could divide the nation by separating the Southern Province chiefs from other provinces.
