At a media briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Academy director Antony Mwamba said the tournament will be used to gauge local boxers’ maturity to fight for World titles. “We have so far raised K50, 000 out of the K431, 000 total budget, following a donation by Gladiator Fitness. This is an important tournament that will see the unveiling of next world champions,” Mwamba said. He thanked Gladiator Fitness for the K50, 000 cash, six pairs of gloves and other boxing attire donated for the planned event.
