The Town Clerk, Mr. Levis Mumba said that the council was invited to witness the official handover of the Fire-tenders by President Edgar Lungu to the Minister of Local Government who will in turn handover the tenders to various councils across the country at undisclosed dates. He did not hide the fact that the council was hoping to receive at least one fire tender as the council relies on a very small machine that cannot contain a major fire such as the one which engulfed a dormitory at Chalimbana University in April this year.
