Mr Mwila said that he had continued to receive petitions against Mr Mutati but that all the cadres wanted was for the Finance Minister to choose and belong to only one political party. When asked what the general party position was, Mr Mwila told journalists in Lusaka yesterday that the party wanted to own Mr Mutati 100 percent. The secretary general said that he would today submit the petitions to President Edgar Lungu for scrutiny and final decision on the matter. Mwila said that party provincial chairpersons across the country had received petitions, but clarified that they just wanted Mr Mutati to choose whether to defect to PF or remain MMD president and resign.
