By CHINTU MALAMBOTHE location of a Covid-19 isolation centre in a residential neighbourhood in Los Angeles Boulevard, Longacres Luska has sparked an outcry among residents who have gone to court to object.The centre was donated to the Ministry of Heath by the Indian community but residents have protested that the donation was made without their concent and it paused a health risk.Chairman of the Old Brentwood Drive Neighbourhood Association Alick Sakala, has gone to court seeking an injunction to stop the use of one of the flats in the complex previously used as Victoria Hospital from being used as a Coronavirus screening and isolation facility.Mr Sakala, who has gone to the High Court has cited Sumati Naik, Nimesh Naik and Janesh Naik as well as Victoria Hospital as defendants, saying the setting up of tents and other infrastructure intended to be used as a Covid-19 screening and Isolation facility at the property has created grave […]
