Fri, 11 Aug 2017 10:12:27 +0000 By Flavior Kanungo POLICE have discontinued the case in which United Progressive People’s Party leader, Saviour Chishimba was arrested and detained for allegedly President defaming Edgar Lungu. Mr Chishimba was on Thursday last week picked up by police for questioning and had been at Woodlands Police holding cells until yesterday. Police public relations officer Esther Katongo confirmed that police had discontinued the case of Mr Chishimba but could not give details as to why the case had been discontinued. And Lusaka Police Commissioner also declined to comment on the matter, saying he did not know anything but referred all queries the Police Service spokesperson. It is not known what investigations had revealed that has led to the release of the opposition leader.
