Ms Mwape has advised the private sector to ensure equal job opportunity for all citizens. In an interview with the Daily Nation, Ms Mwape expressed concern that some organizations in the private sector still discriminated against people that tested positive. Ms Mwape however, said that government institutions were doing a commendable job in trying to eliminate stigma and discrimination in work places. “I would like to thank the government for improving on the standards and lowering the levels of stigma and discrimination. “The only area where we still have a challenge is in the private sector where people that are living with HIV/AIDS are not accorded the same opportunities as those that are negative.
