When the matter came up before Lusaka Magistrate Irene Wishimanga for mention yesterday, the State informed the court that Director of Public Prosecutions Lilian Shawa-Siyunyi had issued a committal certificate in which she said the case was proper for trial by the High Court. Mukata and Charmaine are jointly charged for the murder of 63-year-old Namakambwa Kalikwenda, a security guard manning the Chilanga legislator’s law firm AKM Legal Practitioners in Rhodes Park on May 6, 2017. Last month, information emerged that Charmaine had undergone operation for acute appendicitis Musonda hid herself in a chitenge wrapper to evade cameras and her details on the medical report indicated that she was Mrs. Charmaine Mehl-Musonda.
