Tue, 30 May 2017 10:03:45 +0000 By JUSTINA MULENGA THE pathetic work culture in public health institutions is caused mainly by lack of Government’s seriousness in carrying out inspections on the operations of its workers in those institutions, says 3rd Liberation Movement president, Enoch Tonga. Speaking to the Daily Nation in an interview, Mr Tonga said it was disappointing to learn that some health specialists in public health institutions took their work for granted because Government did not carry out random inspections in these places of work. He said the deplorable attitude of some health practitioners in public health institutions was due to lack of motivation by Government and unfavorable working environments. “Most of these civil servants in public health institutions lack motivation by Government and their work environments are very unfavorable,” he said.
