The tournament, which was organised by the district administration, saw the winning team walk away with K10,000 and a mobile phone for each player while the runners-up received K5,000 and a wristwatch for each player. And Mushindamo district commissioner Benson Ngambo said Government attached great importance to sports, especially soccer, because it was a uniting factor. ‘’And that is the more reason why as district administration we thought of organising such an event so that we come together and reflect on the achievements of the freedom fighters,’’ Mr Ngambo said.
