Ministry of Transport and Communication acting permanent secretary, Yese Bwalya, said the hosting of the sports day would help in the promotion of fitness, adding that there was need for Zambians to observe safety and keep healthy. He appealed to drivers to be cautious on the road and safeguard lives and commended the company for upholding good health. And Lafarge chief executive officer Vincent Bouckaert announced that the money raised during the Lafarge marathon had been donated to charity. “Lafarge Zambia donated K20,000 to Chilanga Mother of Mercy hospice as one of the beneficiaries from the proceeds of the Lafarge marathon which was held on 29th April 2017,” he said.
