Council assistant public relations manager Brenda Katongola said the authority was owed in excess of K35 million in unpaid commercial property rates and billboards from March 30 Ms. Katongola said the Council has since dispatched bailiffs to help it recover over K18 million in commercial property rates and K17, 514, 724.15 from billboards. And Town Clerk, Alex Mwansa has warned illegal billboard owners of punitive action and charged that the Council would apart from cutting down unauthorised billboards, not renew unpaid for billboards for the second quarter.
