Doreen was born with HIV from her mother who died few days after her birth. Her grandmother a teacher by then took care of her as no one was ready to live with an HIV positive child around them. She said that her childhood life was so challenging because most of her mother’s relatives and their children gave her a distance which made her feel out of place.
