He said Government, under the leadership of President Edgar Lungu, recognised the important role police officers played in society and was determined to address all challenges they faced such as inadequate transport, poor housing and shortage of office space, among others. Mr Mufunga was speaking during the Zambia Police Service Open Day celebrations in Chavuma. He also disclosed that Government would soon resume work on the construction of a police station in the district which has stalled at roof level. “Government under the leadership of President Edgar Lungu is aware of the challenges that police officers face and it is determined to address those challenges,” Mr Mufunga said.
