Mr Munachusa said the damage by stalk borer was not serious enough to cause worry. “Yes, there were reports coming from districts over damage of crops by the stalk borer, but according to statistics, it’s just about 1 to 1.5 percent damage of crops in the entire region. So, that should not cause panic among the people,” he said.
