Sat, 17 Dec 2016 10:56:35 +0000 BY GWENDOLYN MCHENGA OPPOSITION United Party for National Development (UPND) former Bweengwa Member of Parliament Highvie Hamududu has been replaced as a surety for UPND vice-president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) in a case in which he is charged with threatening violence against the Republican President, when he allegedly said he would go for President Edgar Lungu’s throat. State prosecutor, Mr Sakala, informed Lusaka Magistrate Thandose Chabala that Mr Hamududu could no longer be a surety for Mwamba because records show that he was an MP when he had in fact relinquished the position. The defence told the court that they had no objection over the State’s application for the replacement of a surety, adding that they would avail the new surety by end of the day.
