Tue, 25 Oct 2016 15:13:57 +0000 A LAW should be formulated to outlaw the wearing of political regalia during national events like Independence Day commemorations, says Emerald and Semi-Precious Stones Association of Zambia ESMAZ President Victor Kalesha. Mr Kalesha said instead all Zambians should be encouraged to dress in national colours. He said introducing such a law would help resolve conflict of competition especially among political players as well as encourage reconciliation. Mr Kalesha noted that with such a law in place, Zambians would be able to interact freely without being politically inclined, thereby resulting in wider participation. He suggested that during Independence commemorations, only songs of national unity should be sung. Mr Kalesha said President Edgar Lungu should direct appropriate authorities to draft such a law. He said President must act on the proposal as many people continued to shun national events because they were highly politicised.
