Wed, 09 Jan 2013 11:08:02 +0000 MMD president Nevers Mumba’s sympathizers yesterday spent a night outside Woodlands Police station in protest and solidarity against his arrest and incarceration. ZDDM president Edwin Sakala said the incarceration of Dr Mumba was a harbinger of things to come and that no one would be spared. Earlier a strong contingent of armed police sealed off Leopards Hill Road as Dr Mumba was being interrogated and subsequently arrested and charged with three counts of abuse of office while he was Zambia’s High Commissioner to Canada. On lookers were treated to a rare sight as police cordoned off the road leading to the police station, thereby disrupting the flow of traffic. Motorists were forced to use alternative routes.
