By CHARLES MUSONDATHE police constable accused of killing public prosecutor Nsama Nsama Chipyoka and a United Party for National Development (UPND) supporter Joseph Kaunda. appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday.Before Magistrate Felix Kaoma yesterday was Fanwell Nyundu, 25, of Matero Township who is charged with two counts of murder following the shooting dead of the two on December 23, 2020.Nyundu appeared for mention after which the State informed Mr. Kaoma that instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to commit Nyundu to the High Court for trial are not yet ready.The matter has since been adjourned to this Friday, March 5, 2021 for another mention and possible committal.Last Friday, Mr. Kaoma explained the charge to Nyundu when he first appeared in court following his arrest last week.He explained to the accused person that the offence he is charged with is only tried by the High Court.
