By NOEL IYOMBWA in Chambishi SINO Metals, the company that caused the acid pollution of the Kafue and Mwembeshi Rivers by discharging effluent into the environment has resolved to restock fish into the two rivers following the poisoning of the fish species due to pollution. And the mining firm has promised to replace plants which have been severely affected by the acidic pollution of the environment. In an interview, Sino Metals Tailing Leach Plant Manager, Simon Kapeya says the mining firm would work closely with the fisheries department once the pollution was controlled to source fingerlings to restock the fish species.
