By NATION REPORTER PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has urged African leaders to prioritise self-reliance and strengthen the Africa Centre for Disease Control (Africa CDC). President Hichilema said member states should enhance investment in both their own nations and Africa CDC to promote self-reliance and boost domestic resource mobilisation. He expressed optimism that improved investment will reduce Africa’s dependency on external funding sources and strengthen the continent’s ability to manage health challenges.
