By GRACE CHAILE THE National Assembly of Zambia and the Attorney General have opposed an application to stop the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) from proceeding to conduct the Petauke Central by-election, arguing that the request suffers from lack of merit. The application, filed by Isaac Mwanza, Executive Director of the Zambian Civil Liberties Union (ZCLU) before the Constitutional Court, seeks a conservatory order to halt the by-election.
