By ROGERS KALERO STAKEHOLDERS in the emerald mining industry have opposed the recent introduction of a 15 percent export duty on emeralds and have advised the government to consult stakeholders before making certain decisions. They have cautioned that lack of consultation with stakeholders may lead to a decision that may harm the very industry the government is trying to support.
