By BUUMBA CHIMBULU AROUND 200 employees will be affected by the abrupt closure of Parmalat’s manufacturing plant in Zambia, effective April 1, 2025. The affected employees will receive the necessary support, including “severance packages that are fair.” France’s Groupe Lactalis, producers of Parmalat products and the world’s biggest dairy manufacturer, plans to scale down manufacturing operations in Zambia, affecting around 200 employees.
