By BARNABAS ZULU ZESCO Limited Board Chairperson Vicson Ncube, has downplayed recent reports of increased water levels in Lake Kariba, emphasising that there is little reason for optimism at this stage. The Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) recently announced that Lake Kariba’s water levels have risen to 475.87 meters, up from 477.28 meters during the same period last year, following recent rainfall, particularly in the southern region of the country.
