By BUUMBA CHIMBULU LACTALIS Zambia has closed its manufacturing site, citing the challenging economy, significant and persisting absorption of financial resources, resorting to focus on its commercial operations through a new business model effective April 1, 2025. This new commercial model entails that Lactalis products will be imported from South Africa and other subsidiaries to ensure that consumers continue to access the products through the Zambian retail and wholesale channels. The firm is a subsidiary of Lactalis Asia Oceania Africa (LAOA).
