By GIDEON NYENDWA PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has officially assented to the Minerals Regulation Commission (MRC) Bill, marking a significant step toward improving oversight and revenue generation in Zambia’s mining sector. The legislation, now an Act of Parliament, paves the way for the establishment of the Minerals Regulation Commission. Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Paul Kabuswe, announced the development, stating that the Ministry had already initiated the process of setting up the Commission.
