By MUBITA KATETE THE Zambian Premier League (ZPL) has issued a stern warning regarding the increasing cases of hooliganism and unsportsmanlike conduct during league matches. Recent incidents, including missile-throwing by fans at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium during the Week 15 Kitwe derby between Power Dynamos and Nkana FC, as well as misconduct in Week 17 matches at Railway Stadium in Kabwe and Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, have raised serious concerns. These actions have not only disrupted matches but also endangered the safety of all those present. ZPL chairman, Kephas Katongo, emphasised that the league is committed to investigating these incidents thoroughly and taking strong action to preserve the integrity of Zambian football. “The alarming rise in such behaviour is unacceptable and must be curbed immediately.
