By MUBITA KATETE THE Business Coalition Taskforce (BCT), a non-political alliance of businesses in Zambia, has strongly objected to the Lusaka City Council’s proposed 300 percent increase in property rates. The BCT has raised concerns over the short notice of the tribunal, which falls on New Year’s Eve time when businesses traditionally close for the holiday season and many employees are on leave.
