By MUBITA KATETE THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has taken decisive action against illegal businesses in Olympia, demolishing three structures that were operating without authorisation. The demolished structures include a car wash where Mayor Chilando Chitangala and her aide-de-camp (ADC) were recently harassed by patrons. According to LCC Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba, the demolitions are part of the council’s efforts to maintain order and sanity in the city. The council invoked the Urban and Regional Planning Act No.3 of 2015 to demolish the structures, citing the need to bring order and sanity to the city.
