By BARNABAS ZULU CHINESE Ambassador to Zambia Hang Jing, has commended Zambia’s impressive progress over the past 60 years, emphasising the country’s long-term peace and stability and economic development in various sectors. Mr Hang says the remarkable strides Zambia has made since gaining independence in 1964 was just impressive. Mr Hang said this during the launch of an art exhibition commemorating Zambia’s 60th anniversary of independence and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Zambia and China. The exhibition was held on Thursday at the Chongwe Community Art Gallery. “It’s a great pleasure for me to attend the launch of the art exhibition to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Zambia’s independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zambia,” Mr Hang said, before expressing gratitude to the Zambia-China Friendship Association and the Chongwe Community Art Gallery for organising the event.
