BY HOPE MUSONDA National Revolution Party (NRP) President Cosmo Mumba says the Minister of Home Affairs Jack Mwiimbu is inconsistent and incompetent for misleading the Nation in the Case involving Partake Central Member of Parliament Emmanuel Jay Banda. Addressing the media in Lusaka on 20th November 2024, Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu said Mr Banda who escaped from lawful custody in august this year was apprehended on the morning of 19th November 2024 and that government iwas working with the authorities in Zimbabwe to extradite Mr. Banda back to Zambia. Mr. Mwiimbu also clarified claims by the opposition Patriotic Front that Mr Banda did not surrender himself to authorities in an attempt to avoid losing his parliamentary seat, following a seven-day ultimatum given by National Assembly Speaker Nelly Mutti.
