By NATION REPORTERTHE cost of basic needs for a household last month increased by nearly three percent standing at K10, 603 the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR) has stated in its monthly Basic Needs and Nutrition Basket (BNNB).The increment was attributed to higher prices of certain food items, notably a 25kg bag of roller mealie meal, priced at K284.43 from K226.67, and fruits such as oranges and apples, which rose to K43.22 from K27.21 per kg.“The JCTR underscores the significance of this continual increase in the BNNB, particularly regarding its impact on households across Zambia.
