This sector is crucial to the country’s economy and employs over half of the population, but erratic rainfall and prolonged dry spells have caused a reduction in crop yields and food shortages, while floods and storms have caused destruction. These impacts have led to significant economic losses, increased poverty, and food insecurity for vulnerable communities.
