By BEATRICE MWILAMBWECHILILABOMBWE Member of Parliament (MP) Paul Kabuswe has assured Zambian drivers whose trucks are marooned at Kasumbalesa border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that Government will resolve the traffic congestion at the frontier.Mr Kabuswe, who is also Minister of Mines and Mineral Development said, Government is concerned about the incidents at the border and was working towards finding a lasting solution to resolve the problem.He said the government will not allow the situation to continue it was posing health risk to drivers due to poor sanitation. Mr Kabuswe was speaking yesterday, when he handed over water and mobile toilets to the drivers at the border post.Mr Kabuswe said some drivers had spent about seven days at the border post, which he has described as unfortunate situation.“The situation is affecting lives, our drivers have families they can’t only be on the road,” he said.Mr Kabuswe further said, the situation at Kasumbalesa border […]
