FORMER President Edgar Lungu’s political advisor Kaizer Peter Zulu has asked the court to release his passport for him to seek medical attention.Zulu through his lawyer Joseph Chirwa submitted to the court that he needed to access his passport to seek medical attention.In this matter, Zulu pleaded not guilty to one count of failing to appear before the nearest immigration, one count of failure to surrender a diplomatic passport and one count of impersonating public officers contrary to the Laws of Zambia.When the matter came up for trial before magistrate Silvia Munyinya, Mr. Chirwa informed the court that the passport had already been marked and ready to be produced to exercise fundamental movements and also to access medical attention through the use of that passport.“Our client needs to access medical attention and asking the court to release his passport,” he said.But the state in response said the court had not yet pronounced its decision on […]
