FORMER Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya has observed that the ordination of Chipata Diocese Auxiliary Bishop Gabriel Phiri has come at a critical time when there is need to facilitate dialogue between the church and government.Dr Chilufya says the Church and government must facilitate dialogue and advocacy for a morally sound society with enhanced livelihoods.Bishop Phiri was yesterday consecrated to the sacred office of Auxiliary Bishop of Chipata Diocese during a mass that was also attended by President Hakainde Hichilema, other opposition leaders including Dr Chilufya.Speaking in the aftermath of the consecration mass, Dr Chilufya said Bishop Phiri’s ordination comes at a pivotal time when the interplay between the Church and Government must be redefined.
