A WITNESS has told the Lusaka magistrate court that according to the investigations that she conducted, AVIC international did not build flats for former Home Affairs Minister, Stephen Kampyongo in Foxdale, Lusaka.Meanwhile, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) senior investigations officer, Zangiwe Mulenga yesterday during cross examination told the court that Kampyongo’s international trip allowances were not added as part of his earnings for the period that he served as a minister.This is in a matter in which Kampyongo 50, of House No. 31, Kudu Road, Kabulonga in Lusaka and his wife Chirwa, 42, a civil servant working as a Chief Planner at the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, are charged with possession of properties valued at K29, 552, 513.00 suspected to be proceeds of crime.Mr Kampyongo is facing four of the 11 counts while Chirwa faces eight counts.It is alleged in the first count that Kampyongo and Chirwa with other persons unknown did possess property number F/135/4301 […]
