FORMER Patriotic Front Kabwata constituency Chairman Triphor Ngandu commonly known as “Uncle T” has pleaded not guilty to a charge of malicious damage of a property.When the matter came up for plea yesterday at the Lusaka Magistrate Court before Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya, Ngandu, 44, a businessman, denied the allegations.This is in a matter in which Ngandu is charged with one count of malicious damages to property contrary section 335 (1) of the penal code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.Allegations are that the Ngandu on July 25, 2021, whilst acting together with other person’s unknown, willfully and unlawfully damage 40 windowpanes, 60 asbestoses and 1 motor vehicle windscreen altogether valued at K156, 000 the property of Sulwe Isaac Hamuchele.According to facts before court, the alleged incident to have occurred on July 21, 2021 at 17:00 hrs.
