By NATION REPORTERPresident Hakainde Hichilema has honoured several Zambians who have excelled in their individual capacities as well as those who performed acts of bravery to save others.This was during the National Honours and Awards Investiture Ceremony held at State House in Lusaka as the country celebrates Independence.Namibian President Hage Geingob and President Hichilema handed over the Awards to the deserving citizens.President Hichilema awarded musician and activist Chama Fumba with the President’s Insignia for Bravery. Mr Fumba, who is popularly known as Pilato, has been awarded for using music to fight against corruption.Another musician awarded is Andrew Chisala, who is also known as Cavman, who has sung about human rights and ill treatment of civil servants in the previous regime.Others honoured were veteran broadcaster and diplomat Frank Mutubila and Socrets Kabinda, a resident of Mumbwa who risked his life by saving the lives of four juveniles when Mumbwa was flooded after a dam collapsed last […]
