By NATION REPORTERSOME University of Zambia students yesterday took to the Great East Road to protest over a statement made by a UPND official in a video that has gone viral on different social media platforms.In the video, the man identified as Saul Mwale Cornhill is heard using the words “Imbwa Zapa UNZA,” an alleged reference to the University of Zambia student populace, a statement which ruffled the students who took to the streets yesterday.And UNZASU President Special Counsel, Gabriel Banda said the words uttered by Mr Cornhill, the UPND Lusaka vice chairperson, against the University of Zambia were offensive, disparaging and had angered the university community.Mr Banda said the insults were so grave that they had injured everyone that had worked, studied and is an alumni of the university.He said Mr Cornhill’s remarks have also insulted President Hakainde Hichilema since he was a graduate of the university.Mr Banda, speaking during the protest held yesterday […]
