By NATION REPORTERPRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has been challenged to view the US$100 million contract for the construction of prefabricated hospitals in Southern, Western and North-Western provinces beyond the dismissal of Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary George Magwende.The Patriotic Front (PF) believes that Health Minister Sylvia Masebo should also be investigated over the US$100m corruption scandal because as head of the ministry, there was something that she knew about the contract.Mr Raphael Nakacinda, the PF Information and Publicity chairperson says Ms Masebo as minister should also be probed because according to him, there were reports that she had allegedly attempted to arm-twist the contractors.He alleged in an interview that there were some audio recordings in which some ministers in the new dawn administration had been coercing contractors and demanding colossal amounts of money so that their bids to do business could be favourably considered.Mr Nakachinda claimed that some audio recordings had implicated some ministers and high-ranking […]
