By NATION REPORTERMICMAR and Chilanga Cement have partnered to train 49 masons in various construction skills as good corporate citizens.The two entities sponsored the 49 who completed the course at the Fountain Gate Crafts and Trades School a Teveta-accredited institution that offers level 4 craft certificate in bricklaying and masonry and level 3 certificate in Electrical Technology courses in Chongwe.And Government has called on the private sector to partner with such institutions in upscaling skills in the building and construction industry to achieve sustainability and durability of infrastructure in the country.Director of Infrastructure in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, Clive Khan said skills development is cardinal if Zambia has to stay abreast with modern technology and development in the construction sector.Mr Khan called on other companies to emulate “The new dawn administration’s emphasis on three fundamental preconditions in infrastructure development.
