By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSATHE Patriotic Front (PF) has been granted leave to appeal in the Court of Appeal against the High Court’s decision to throw out the case in which it protested the harassment of its members by the investigative wings.This is according to an exparte order granted by Lusaka High Court Judge Charles Kafunda.“Upon hearing counsel for the plaintiff and upon reading the affidavit filed in support of exparte summons for leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal, it is hereby ordered and directed that leave to appeal against the ruling dated June 8, 2022 be and is hereby granted and costs of this application be in the cause,” read the order.PF through its secretary general Nickson Chilanga, sought leave of the Lusaka High Court to challenge in the Court of Appeal the dismissal of the matter by Justice Kafunda.Mr Chilangwa argued that Justice Kafunda erred in law when he dismissed the action […]
