LOCALS MUST BENEFIT FROM RESOURCES, SAYS MPUNDU

By SHERRY CHABALATHERE is need for Government to reposition itself and ensure that locals benefit from the resources, Nkana Independent Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu has said.Mr Mpundu said that it was embarrassing to see many Zambians wallowing in poverty when the country was blessed with abundant resources.He said Government needed to formulate policies that guaranteed food safety and security for poor Zambians.He however said the country needs to embrace affirmative activities that will alleviate poverty levels.Mr Mpundu also said it was time for all stakeholders to take part in finding solutions to challenges affecting the country.
