By KETRA KALUNGATHE manner in which the Police officers brutally handled Economic and Equity Party leader, Chilufya Tayali, who merely went to report suspected wrong doers at Lusaka Central Police is unacceptable, political activist, Chanoda Ngwira, has said.Mr Ngwira said the manner in which Mr Tayali was arrested was brutal especially that he was not a threat to anyone.He said in an interview that police should stop being brutal towards citizens, more especially the opposition.Mr Ngwira said the UPND Government was at high volume when in opposition to condemn or rather call Police brutal as well as branding the PF regime as a brutal regime.He said that it was unfortunate that instead of working on the issues they claimed were wrong and unlawful while in the opposition, the UPND were doing exactly what they preached against.“What we wonder too, is this new kind of harassment they have brought where cadres are deployed in all corners […]
