By NATION REPORTERPOLITICAL artilleries are surrounding former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s camp and this is a disturbing development which threatens unity of purpose in the country, former Defence Minister George Mpombo has said.And Dr Mpombo has asked the SADC to intervene in some obvious atrocities to which some former leaders are being subjected to.He said the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) should stand up against this flagrant abuse of power in the region.“In Botswana far-fetched charges have been framed against former President Ian Khama, SADC risks becoming a moribund political talking shop which is abetting political impunity of political opponents in the region through its wall of silence,” he said.Mr Mpombo said it was evident that there were a number of political forces that were targeted at the former head of State, and his close associates.In was responding to the reported summoning of former Mr Lungu’s son Dalitso by the Joint Investigative wings to appear […]
